ERNET India, an autonomous scientific society under Department of Information Technology, M/o Communications & Information Technology, has been set up with the main objectives of developing, setting up and operating a nationwide state-of-art Computer Communication infrastructure, to undertake and promote education, research & development, training and standardization in the area of computer networking and information technology and to develop options for consideration of the Government for development of information infrastructure and computer networking in the country. ERNET India is looking for suitable personnel for filling up of the following Technical & Non Technical posts. The number of posts to be filled up, the mode of recruitment, age & the place of posting etc. are as under:-
(A) Technical Posts to be filled on Regular basis.
(1) Manager
(a) No. of Post: 02 (UR)
(b) Pay Scale: 15,600-39,100/- with grade pay of Rs. 7,600/- as per Sixth Pay Commission, (Rs.12,000-16500/- pre-revised)
(c) Mode of Recruitment: By Direct recruitment/transfer(absorption) failing which By deputation
(d) Place of Posting: 01 Post each at Kolkatta and Chennai
(e) Eligibility Criteria:
(i) Educational Qualification & Age for direct recruitment:
B.E. /B.Tech /M.Sc. or equivalent in the related field(*) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution.
Experience:
9 years in the relevant field(*). M.E. /M. Tech. in related field (*) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution.
Experience: 8 years in the relevant field (*).
Or
Ph.D. in the related field (*) from a recognized University/Institution.
Experience: 5 years in the relevant field (*).
(*) Computer communication & networking, Data Communication, Internet & Web Technology, VSAT Communication.
Age : 40 years (Relaxation as per GoI Rules)
(ii) For Transfer (absorption )/ Deputation:
Officers of the Central/State governments/PSUs/ Autonomous bodies:-
(i) Holding analogous post on regular basis.
Or
Having 5 years regular service in the scale of pay of Rs. 10,000-15,200/-(pre-revised). and
(ii) Possessing the qualifications prescribed for direct recruitment.
(a) No. of Post: 02 (UR)

(c) Mode of Recruitment: Direct Recruitment/ Transfer (absorption) failing which by deputation

(e) Eligibility Criteria:
(i) Educational Qualification & Age for direct recruitment:
Diploma in Engineering/ B.Sc. in the related field (*) with minimum 60% marks or possessing DOEACC ‘A’ level Certificate.
Experience: 5 years in the relevant field (*).

Age: 30 years (Relaxation as per GoI Rules)
(ii) For Transfer (absorption) / Deputation:

(d) Place of Posting: 01 Post at Mumbai
(e) Eligibility Criteria:
(i) Educational Qualification & Age for direct recruitment:
